Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet messes in one go, without having to switch between devices. They can also reduce space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads using a dedicated dock.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has plenty to offer for its relatively modest price, and it's one of the most simple robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean, full dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in a matter of minutes.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly application that lets you pick the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you could choose to have the robot do a deep clean in the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent, with the robot being capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only minor issue is that it can smash into walls and other objects at full speed. However, an instant glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks are required like emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank automatically, using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being able to operate for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to see all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. In contrast to the model of last year, this one features two agitators in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to remove small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might overlook.

As with the two other Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around the objects without a pause.

It's the most expensive model I've tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is striking and has only three physical buttons: the power button, that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin is auto-filling.

The only issue I have found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to remove the mount to wash manually. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot passes will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and set up these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to enable voice control on this model which is a pity considering the quality of its performance.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with its innovative features, top suction power, and advanced mopping capabilities. Its intelligent design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the top alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry debris. It has a mop of high quality that cleans hard floors without using a pad. Additionally  click here to read  is very quiet during operation, only producing occasional squeaks of sound when switching modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.

Another noteworthy feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush that allows it to reach difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture such as table and chair legs.  best automatic vacuum  lets the robot to access furniture that is low-profile, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that enables the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through the frequent back-and-forth movement.

Contrary to other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple and user-friendly and the X40's clever features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many convenient features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is filled and alert you before it overflows, thus reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive available and comes with many extra features that distinguish it from. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and other small dirt particles - as well as picking up spills and wet spots.

Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and could be a useful method to keep your home clean for longer.

There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app, or via buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options for customising the cleaning routine, and there are a lot of features that other robots do not include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles instead of using the manual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at around 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping system is well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
