Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one go, without having to switch devices. They can also save space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide will have you running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models can't. The only issue it has is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but just a glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks are required including emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you see all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot mop and vacuum. Unlike last year's model, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. mouse click the next document has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.
This Roborock model, like the other two I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It then can alter its course in a way that is automatic and clean around them without stumbling.
It's the most expensive model I've tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin is auto-filling.
The only issue I have discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track battery life. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with innovative features, superior suction power and cutting-edge mopping capabilities. Its intelligent design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and food particles. It has a mop of top quality that cleans hard floors without using pads. The X40 is also very quiet while in use, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.

Another noteworthy feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brushes, that allows it to reach difficult-to-access corners and clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. The robot can also reach under furniture that is low-profile which makes it an ideal option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a nice feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through the frequent back-and-forth movement.
In contrast to other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 can do mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or separately. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is user-friendly and simple to use and the X40's clever features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, view floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it is finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it an ideal choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It will also tell you whether the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive on the market and comes with numerous additional features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature since it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen before on other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. They can be set through the app or there are buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers many options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of functions that other robots don't include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, rather than using a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on the market, sporting metallic and white design that is elegant and stylish. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list but it's not a lot of weight. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can also extend to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
